Metric Definitions

  • New Members: count of members who have joined your club and have a "since date" in the time period selected (e.g. MTD).  Excluding any members rewriting, renewing, etc.
  • New Membership Agreements: count of primary member agreements that are new in the time period selected.  This excludes secondary and dependent members, and rewriting or renewing member agreements.
  • New Member Units (NMUs): The number of members with an agreement date in the reporting period and an agreement type of New, Renew, Rewrite, Reinstated, or Add-on.  Not including Continual Renew or Continual Rewrite agreement types.
  • Total Members: The count of all members in your club. Some dashboards may filter out members with certain statuses.
  • Total Membership Agreements: This is the equivalent of primary members.  It's the number of agreements active at any time in the time period.
  • Lost Members: Members whose status moves to inactive in the time period, due to cancellations or expirations
  • Net Member Gain/Loss: The difference between New Members added and Lost Members during the time period.
  • Attrition %: The percent of members who were lost during the time-period. Attrition rate is calculated as (members who were lost in the time period) divided by (the total members at the start of the period)
  • *Primary Members: Part of the Member Relationship field. Primary member is the main member on the account. Often it's the only member on the account, makes the payments, and holds the Membership Agreement.
  • *Secondary Members: Part of the Member Relationship field. Secondary Member and Dependent Member are basically the same and represent any additional members added to an account.  Secondary members tend to be adults.
  • *Dependent Members: Part of the Member Relationship field. Secondary Member and Dependent Member are basically the same and represent any additional members added to an account.  Dependent members tend to be children.
